Work Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (8 hours/day, 40 hours/week)
• On-call coverage:

  • 24 hours on holidays/weekends starting at 7:00 AM
  • 15 hours on weekdays starting at 4:00 PM
  • Rotational on-call coverage required

Job Description

• Maintain sterile field (scrub role)
• Required skills include Interventional Radiology, Special Procedures, and Genitourinary Studies/Procedures
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrubs provided
• Blocked scheduling not considered
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Special Procedures Technologist, with experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ARRT Radiography (R) certification required

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including SSN trace, criminal, sex offender, DMV (if applicable), and education verification
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprint clearance required within 90 days of start (all pages must be submitted)
• Pennsylvania child abuse clearance required within 90 days of start
• Pennsylvania PATCH and Medicheck search results required within 30-90 days of start
• Employment application with 7 years of complete work history and explanations for gaps over 90 days
• Minimum of 2 professional references from employment within 12 months of start

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 2 months of start
• Negative drug screen (10-panel or 9-panel without THC) within 60 days of start; observed drug screen required if initial test is dilute
• Immunizations/vaccinations:

  • TDAP within 10 years
  • COVID-19 vaccination or signed declination with facility-specific form
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or approved exemption (clinical staff)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or 2 vaccines required
  • Hepatitis B: positive antibody titer or completed vaccine series required (declinations not accepted)
  • Varicella: positive titer or 2 vaccines required
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray per protocol (QGold or T-Spot within 90 days or 2 PPDs)
• Respirator medical clearance required annually for respirator use starting 04/07/2025
• Fit test questionnaire required prior to start (not required for 100% remote non-clinical candidates)

Competency and Testing Requirements

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required within 12 months of start (minimum 80% passing score)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required within 12 months of start (minimum 88% passing score; 3 attempts allowed)
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for all RNs & LVNs except certain specialties
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (annual)
• State license verification and NURSYS verification prior to start and upon expiration

Additional Notes

• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certifications are not applicable for this role
• No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Photo ID and badge requirements apply for new candidates starting 3/31/2025 and beyond
• All documentation must be uploaded and maintained according to facility policies
