X-Ray Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Latrobe, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Four 10-hour shifts per week (4x10)
• Primarily day shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Evening shift approximately every 4th week: 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM
• Every third weekend required

Required Qualifications

• Radiology Technician with at least 1 year of experience within the last year
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician
• Valid state license for X-Ray Technologist (Radiology Tech)
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (AHA only, RQI acceptable)
  • BLS (AHA only, RQI acceptable)
  • PALS (AHA only, RQI acceptable)
  • National Tech Certification as applicable (e.g., ASCP-HT or ASCP-HTL preferred for Histology Techs)
• Updated NIH Stroke Certification (annual)
• Competency exams as applicable to profession with minimum passing score of 80% or Angoff score if higher
• Background checks within 30 days of start including SS Trace, County searches (7 years), Nationwide Sex Offender, PA Statewide Patch search
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search and Department of Human Services Fingerprint Results required prior to start
• Negative 15-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Two vaccines or positive titer within 10 years; booster if negative/equivocal
  • Hepatitis B: Vaccine series, positive titer within 10 years, or signed declination
  • Varicella: Two vaccines or positive titer within 10 years; booster if negative/equivocal
• Negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or Tspot) within 1 year of start; if past positive, negative chest x-ray within 1 year plus annual TB questionnaire
• Seasonal flu vaccination or accepted declination required during flu season (10/1/2024 – 4/1/2025)

• Emergency Contact Form prior to start
• Various facility-specific documents and attestations must be completed prior to start, including:

  • Orientation checklist
  • Pandemic attestation
  • Code of conduct
  • Confidentiality agreement
  • Disclosure statement
  • Employment handbook acknowledgment
  • Job description acknowledgment
• Photo for badge required
• For RN/LPN on telemetry units (if applicable): completion of specific training and competency assessments (e.g., cardiac procedure education, skin integrity, mobility, catheter training) with proof of passing quizzes at 100%

  • 1 professional reference for per diem non-acute care roles
