Operating Room Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract
Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shifts, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each
- Shift Times: Varying start times between 06:45-17:15 or 08:45-19:15
- Call Requirements:
- Call every 6 or 7 weeks
- Weekend call from Friday 19:00 to Sunday 19:00
- One weeknight call per week from 19:00 to 07:00
- Weekends & Holidays: As needed
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days notice
- Floating: Not applicable
Unit & Patient Population
- Comprehensive surgical services with 11 operating suites
- Dedicated operating rooms for cardiovascular procedures and specialized treatments
- Surgical specialties include:
- Gynecology, Urogynecology, Gynecology Oncology
- Podiatry, Orthopedics, Breast Surgery, Plastic Surgery
- General Surgery, Urology, Robotics, Endoscopy
- Cardiothoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery
- Patient demographics range from pediatric to geriatric
- May care for COVID-19 patients
- Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an OR Circulating Nurse, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Competencies & Exams
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (pass/fail) required for all RNs except OR and Home Health
- Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing required for all RNs except OR and Home Health
Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID required
- Clear, passport-style photo for badge
- Education verification of highest degree/diploma/transcripts required
- Employment application or most recent resume required
- Annual skills checklist required
- Performance evaluations completed onsite by unit managers during assignment (not required before start)
- Completion of facility-specific documents including:
- Code of Conduct
- Confidentiality Agreement
- Commitment to Health & Wellness
- Non-Employee Affidavit
- Medical Statement Non-Employee Ability to Work (preferred within 90 days of start)
- Hepatitis B declination form if applicable
- Safety and Security Vehicle Registration (if applicable)
- Completion of required Learning Management System (LMS) modules prior to start, including new hire orientation
