Job Opportunity: MRI Tech
Location

Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Monday to Thursday, 4 shifts per week
- 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM to 5:00 PM)
- Holidays worked if they fall on scheduled shift
- Overtime available
- No on-call required
- Floating within scope of practice may be required

Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Tech
- Siemens equipment experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience preferred but not required
- First-time travelers accepted
Required Certifications and Licenses
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
- Radiation badge not required for MRI Techs
- South Carolina state license not required for MRI Techs (but must have active, unencumbered license from another state)
- Color blindness test required prior to start
Facility Highlights

Important Notes
- Radius rule: 60 miles
- Locals may be accepted on a case-by-case basis
- Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks
- During hurricane season (June-November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams; travelers should consider this before accepting or extending assignments
Required Documentation and Compliance
- Proof of work eligibility (I-9 attestation and form)
- Copy of Driver’s License/State ID
- Copy of Social Security Card or SSN verification
- Background check covering last 7 years of residence/employment, including multiple national and state registries
- Education verification or diploma/transcripts as placeholder
- Employment application including all PTO, contract assignments, agency names, and no unaccounted gaps
- Verification of last 3 clinical employers (or fewer if applicable)
- Passport-style photo for badge (frontal view, solid light background, business casual attire)
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start (approx. 2 hours)
- Annual physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Fit test for N95 mask within 90 days prior to start, renewed annually (specific mask models required)
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination form
- Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days or proof of prior positive with chest x-ray
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: positive titer or vaccination series with boosters as needed
- Hepatitis B: titer, vaccine series, or declination
- Seasonal flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption (flu declinations not accepted)
- 10-panel drug screen within 90 days prior to start (no instant tests)
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
- Experience with Siemens MRI equipment
