Job Description

• Role: Practice Nurse in an ambulatory oncology clinic (no infusion duties)
• Patient Population: Oncology patients before, during, or after treatments; includes follow-up, pre-op, and post-op care
• Responsibilities:

  • Telephone triage
  • Inbasket handling
  • Assisting providers during clinic visits
• Ambulatory experience and oncology experience required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut
• Minimum 2 years of Hematology/Oncology nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Knowledge of NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
