Description

Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
Hours per week: 36

Job Description

Provide total care for ICU patients, including management of ventilators, titratable drips, and patient hygiene.
Floating required to Emergency Room (ER) and Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) departments:
- ER float duties include assisting with call lights, medication passes, patient transport, IV starts, and blood draws (no patient assignments).
- Med Surg float duties may include taking a full patient assignment (up to 6 patients) or acting as an aide (up to 12 patients).
Patient ratio in ICU: 1 nurse to 2-3 patients.
Unit size: 12 beds.
No call required.
Holidays required.
Electronic Medical Record system used: MedHost.
Scrub color: Any.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Emergency Department (ED) experience
Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) experience
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
