Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
Hours per week: 36
Job Description
- Provide total care for ICU patients, including management of ventilators, titratable drips, and patient hygiene.
- Floating required to Emergency Room (ER) and Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) departments:
- ER float duties include assisting with call lights, medication passes, patient transport, IV starts, and blood draws (no patient assignments).
- Med Surg float duties may include taking a full patient assignment (up to 6 patients) or acting as an aide (up to 12 patients).
- Patient ratio in ICU: 1 nurse to 2-3 patients.
- Unit size: 12 beds.
- No call required.
- Holidays required.
- Electronic Medical Record system used: MedHost.
- Scrub color: Any.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Emergency Department (ED) experience
- Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
