Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVICU

Location: Knoxville, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

Float required.
Work schedule includes 2 weekends per month or every other weekend.
Patient ratios: 1:1 in CVICU; 1:2-3 in ICU.
No guaranteed time off during holidays or holiday weeks (specific holidays apply).
Orientation provided bi-weekly.

Required Certifications

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted; actual certification required (no screenshots/photos); must not expire within 45 days of assignment start.
BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted; actual certification required; must not expire within 45 days of assignment start.
NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale Certification) - actual downloaded certification required; must not expire within 45 days of assignment start.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
Minimum of 1 year of CVICU experience, with recent CVICU experience within the last year.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
NIHSS certification.
