Job Opportunity: IMC Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Chambersburg, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
  • Holidays: Expected to work 1 out of 2 major holidays (July 4th and Memorial Day) and surrounding days
  • Floating: May float to Medical-Surgical (MS) and rehab units as needed
  • Patient Population: May care for COVID-19 patients
  • Facility Environment: Tobacco and fragrance-free

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within the last year
  • ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience with Epic Electronic Health Record system

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Physical Exam: Required within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP
  • Immunizations and Titers:
    • Hepatitis B: Positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) plus declination form if applicable
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): Vaccines (2 doses) or positive titers; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
    • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: Required within 10 years of start
    • Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season or valid medical/religious exemption (declinations not accepted)
    • COVID-19 Vaccine: Dose 1 required or medical/religious exemption/declination accepted
  • TB Screening: Negative QGold or TSpot test within 90 days of start (PPD not accepted); if positive, negative chest X-ray within 1 year and annual TB questionnaire required
  • Drug Testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year (requirement for agency only, not facility)
  • Respiratory Safety Clearance: Required within 1 year of start, renew annually
  • Fit Testing: Preferred but not required

Competency and Training Requirements

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (pass/fail) required for all RNs except OR and Home Health
  • Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing required
  • Completion of facility-specific online Learning Management System (LMS) modules prior to start (must be done on PC/laptop)
  • New Hire Orientation required by end of first day

Documentation and Compliance

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID) required
  • I9 or attestation required
  • Education verification of highest degree/diploma/transcripts required
  • Clear, professional passport-style photo for badge
  • Signed facility-specific documents including:
    • Code of Conduct
    • Confidentiality Agreement
    • Commitment to Health & Wellness
    • Non-Employee Affidavit
  • Pending background check attestation if any results are pending at start
  • Employment application or most recent resume required
  • Annual skills checklist required

Additional Notes

  • Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days
  • Manager interview required after clinical screening
  • No call requirements
  • Candidate must notify if unable to comply with tobacco/fragrance-free policy
