MRI Technician Position - Ann Arbor, Michigan
Job Details
- Specialty: MRI Technician
- Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
- Shift: Monday through Thursday nights, 11:00 PM to 9:00 AM
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Job Requirements
- MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- Current MRI ARRT or ARMRIT certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Siemens MRI experience
Required Qualifications & Documentation
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination including booster by September 2025, or approved exemption/declination with agency letterhead (declination not accepted in CA or IL).
- Proof of MMR vaccination (2 doses) or positive IgG titer.
- Fit test for respirator use (specific mask type required for Iowa).
- Hepatitis B vaccination series initiated prior to start date (titers not accepted).
- Influenza vaccine or approved declination/exemption for the current flu season.
- Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA test; positive TB requires chest x-ray within last year for Michigan.
- Varicella vaccination or positive IgG titer.
- Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year.
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC).
- Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year.
- Color vision test.
- Tdap vaccine or declination if no pediatric interaction is required.
- Respirator evaluation with physician signature (on-site completion required for some locations).
- Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors.
Professional & Background Requirements
- Resume and skills checklist updated within the last year.
- Two professional references.
- Signed confidentiality, conflict of interest, code of conduct, and integrity/audit forms.
- Criminal background check covering the last 7 years, including SSN verification and alias checks, dated within 30 days of start.
- Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma.
- Exclusion screenings including EPLS, GSA/OIG, NSO (statewide checks for Michigan), all dated within 30 days of start.
- System access form completed and uploaded one week before start.
- Standard I-9 verification completed by agency.
- License/certification verification dated within 30 days of start (state verification required).
- CORE exam (Joint Commission testing) within the last year.
This position requires night shift availability, specific MRI certification, and compliance with extensive health, safety, and professional documentation standards. Prior travel experience is not specified as a requirement.
