Job Opportunity: CVOR Tech (Travel)

Location

Fort Wayne, Indiana

Contract Length

13 weeks

Work Schedule

Four 10-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
On-call as needed
Block scheduling accommodations available
Floating required: may float to main OR if needed

Job Description / Scope of Role

Work in the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR)
Assist surgeons by preparing the surgical field
Pass instruments and supplies during surgery
Maintain a sterile environment
Assist in turning over OR rooms to keep surgical cases flowing
Number of ORs in unit: 4

Required Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum 2 years of experience as a CVOR Technologist, including experience within the last year

Preferred Skills / Systems

Experience with Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) system preferred

This position is a travel assignment requiring flexibility and strong cardiovascular OR technical skills.
