Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical/Telemetry

Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Night Shift)
Schedule: Every Other Week (EOW), Every Other Holiday (EOH)

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with specialty in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry to provide direct patient care on a night shift basis.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in Neurology

Professional Requirements

• Completion and submission of various professional forms and background checks including:

  • Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county for last 7 years).
  • Education verification (highest level of academic education).
  • Exclusion screenings (OIG, EPLS, NSO).
  • Conflict of interest disclosure.
  • Code of conduct agreement.
  • Confidentiality and information security agreement.
  • Integrity and audit services form.
  • System access form (to be completed one week before start).
  • Child and adult dependent abuse training (Iowa only).
  • State-specific registry checks (Iowa sing report).
  • OFAC sanctions screening within 30 days of start.
• Submission of a current resume, skills checklist (within one year), and two professional references.

Additional Information

• License and certification verifications must be dated within 30 days of start.
• All required documentation must be uploaded to the credentialing system prior to onboarding.
• Specialty skills checklist will be provided by the agency for clinical contractors.
