Job Opportunity: Oncology Pediatric Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location
- Newark, New Jersey
Position Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5x8 hours)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays as needed by the unit
- On Call: Not required
- Charting System: Cerner
- Floating: Must float within skillset; patient ratios vary by census and acuity
- Scrubs Color: Navy Blue
- Accepts first-time travelers and local candidates
Unit Description
- Hospital-based outpatient pediatric oncology clinic
- Patient population: Pediatric oncology patients requiring chemotherapy and central venous catheter care (Ports, Broviacs, PICC Lines)
- Outpatient experience highly preferred
Required Qualifications
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid RN license in New Jersey
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Oncology experience
- Oncology experience within the last year
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
