Cath Lab Tech Travel/Contract Job – Paramus, New Jersey

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
• Call Requirements:

  • Approximately one weekend per month (Friday–Sunday)
  • About one additional day per week on call
  • Must be able to arrive at the facility within 30 minutes for emergency call

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in New Jersey
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT (R) Radiography certification

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Background Checks:

  • 7-year background check within 6 months of start
  • Includes county, statewide, national sex offender, national criminal, OIG sanction, SAM.gov, OFAC sanctions
• Education Verification:

  • Verification of highest level of education required; diploma can be used as placeholder if verification is pending
• Licenses:

  • All license verifications must be run within 30 days prior to start
• Health Requirements: (Must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract)

  • Physical exam or statement of health signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP stating good health and no physical limitations
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual Quantiferon Gold or T-spot within 6 months, or 2-step PPD)
  • Proof of immunizations or titers for:

    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccinations or positive titer)
    • Varicella (2 vaccinations or positive titer)
    • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or declination
  • Flu vaccination (mandatory, no religious or medical declinations accepted)
  • COVID-19 vaccination: completed initial series and booster required (no exemptions)
  • Drug testing: Negative 9-panel urine drug screen within 30 days of start (no rapid tests accepted)
  • Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) within 1 year of start
• Competency Exams:

  • Core Competency Exams (Parts I, II, III) annually with minimum 80% passing score
  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam annually (80% passing score)
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam annually (80% passing score) for all RNs (not applicable here but noted)
  • Color Blindness test (Ishihara) within 1 year of assignment start
• Acknowledgements:

  • Orientation Safety Manual
  • Pass/Fail Testing acknowledgment (required for Cath Lab Techs)
• References:

  • Two professional references required: one supervisory within last 12 months, one professional within last 3 years
• Employment History:

  • Resume covering last 7 years of employment with explanations for gaps over 30 days
  • Employment verification for last 7 years required and must be completed 2 Fridays prior to start date

Additional Notes

• Candidates must complete a self-learning module and post-test prior to start (100% passing score required)
• Onsite pass/fail testing will be administered; failure results in contract cancellation
• Candidates must be prepared to provide information for ID badge creation during orientation
• Call schedule requires readiness to respond quickly (within 30 minutes) for emergencies

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab Technologists licensed in New Jersey who are comfortable with on-call responsibilities and meeting comprehensive compliance and health requirements.
