Dietitian Travel/Contract Job – Rochester, New York

Job Details

Requirements/Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with at least 1 year of experience.
• Recent experience as an RDN within the last year.

Job Responsibilities

• Document diet history, food intake, caloric and nutrient requirements, drug-nutrient interactions, and existing disease states in medical records.
• Use computer applications and maintain databases to ensure appropriate care and service.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Teach nutrition group classes during the week and occasionally on a rotating weekend schedule.
• Communicate and collaborate with medical providers regarding individualized patient nutrition needs.
• Integrate cultural, religious, and ethnic foods into meal planning for culturally diverse patients.
• Provide nutrition education to patients, families, and staff.
• Monitor patient food and fluid intake at meals.
• Participate in committees and taskforces as assigned.
• Provide remote weekend on-call coverage on a rotating schedule.

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Criminal background check including fingerprinting (to be completed onsite except for certain facilities).
• Statewide Central Registry Database Check and New York Statewide Central Registry Form Search.
• Review and sign Code of Conduct prior to start.
• Complete Employee Information Sheet and Personnel Requirements Appendix.
• Submit proof of Medicaid Enrollment as required.
• Complete Staff Exclusion List (SEL) check immediately upon hire.
• Verification of high school diploma.
• Contract Employee Deposit Form required.
