Speech Language Pathologist - Inpatient Rehab

Location: Three Rivers, Michigan
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: 1 Saturday per month (if possible)
• No call, floating, or holiday requirements
• Patient ratio: 1:6
• Charting system: Cerner
• Professional dress required
• Parking: Free
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from the facility (no locals accepted)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Michigan
• Speech Language Pathologist with 0 years of experience (new graduates accepted)
• Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Background check covering the last 7 years and all states lived/worked in, required within 90 days of start and annually thereafter
• Michigan LARA fingerprinting results required prior to start (must be performed in-state)
• Education verification or copy of diploma/transcripts required
• Employment application required

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam required (Aya Physician Statement form)
• Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (includes amphetamines, cannabinoids, MDMA, methamphetamines, buprenorphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, cocaine, methadone, tramadol, benzodiazepines, morphine/opiate)
• TB screening: Negative 2-step PPD or Qgold within 1 year of start (T-Spots not accepted); if positive PPD, must have chest x-ray within past 12 months
• TB questionnaire required prior to start and annually thereafter
• Immunizations or titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start (flu season October–May)

Additional Facility Requirements

• Clear, passport-style photo with solid background required for badge
• Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement must be completed prior to start
• COVID-19 vaccine required unless a medical or religious exemption is submitted and approved
• Completion of facility-specific modules prior to start (approximately 8-10 hours; paid time)
• Fit mask test preferred; if not available, note on record for removal of requirement

• Prior travel experience is not required
• Flexible scheduling may be accommodated if needed
• No call or floating duties expected
