Job Description

• Provide holistic nursing care across the lifespan, focusing on neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults.
• Perform independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions according to standards and competencies specific to the assigned NICU service area.
• Execute the Standards of Nursing Practice: assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Develop and revise patient care plans, coordinate care among disciplines, and delegate activities appropriately.
• Participate in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practices.
• Implement leadership qualities to define, improve, and promote high standards of care and environment.
• Duties and required clinical skills may vary based on the assigned unit; NICU-specific skills are expected.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Minnesota
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), with NICU experience within the last year
• Experience working with neonate patients
• At least 1 year of prior travel nursing experience
• Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records system

Additional Information

• Dress code: Hospital-provided scrubs.
• Nonbillable hours: 4 hours per assignment.
• Local traveler policy applies for candidates living within 35 miles of the facility.
• Candidates must list prior work history with the facility or associated entities on their resume.
