Description

CVOR Tech Travel Opportunity

Location: Valparaiso, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Travel position as a CVOR Tech with a focus on open heart surgical cases.
Surgical assist duties including room turnover, stocking, and taking call.
Coverage of other surgical cases if no open heart cases are scheduled.
Work schedule: Days, 06:45 AM to 5:15 PM, plus on-call requirements.
No floating required.
Block scheduling is not an option.
Patient ratio varies; unit has 12 beds.
EMR system used: Cerner.
Approved orientation period: 5 days.
Scrub color: Blue (provided onsite).

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as a CVOR Technologist, with experience within the last year.
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NBSTSA certification required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Open Heart surgical experience required.
Additional experience preferred in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Da Vinci Robot, General Surgery, Gynecology, and Podiatry.

Additional Information

Maximum allowed time off (RTO): 2 days; blackout dates and required holidays apply.
Shift hours total approximately 36 hours per week.
Scrubex services available onsite for laundering scrubs.

This role is ideal for experienced CVOR Techs with strong open heart surgical skills seeking a travel assignment in Indiana.
