Job Description

• Provide nursing care on a Step Down unit.
• Must be comfortable with rapid turnaround and changing priorities.
• Experience required with post-cardiovascular surgeries.
• Skilled in titrating cardiac drips including Nitro, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Esmolol.
• Experience using Bipap and Airvo respiratory support devices.
• Ability to recognize deteriorating patients promptly.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas.
• Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Experience with post-cardiovascular surgeries.
• Skilled in titrating cardiac drips including Nitro, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Esmolol.
• Experience using BiPAP and Airvo respiratory support devices.

Unit Information

• Step Down unit with a patient ratio of 5:1.
• Night shift with 36 guaranteed hours weekly.
• Call as needed by the unit.
• Float to Medical-Surgical unit as required.
• Dress code: Black scrubs.
