Description

MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Work primarily with MRI inpatients in a large hospital setting (250+ beds)
  • Utilize Siemens MRI equipment at an expert level
  • Provide care in a Level I Trauma environment
  • Use Epic EMR system for documentation and patient management

Required Qualifications

  • MRI Technologist with a minimum of 6 years of experience
  • MRI Technologist experience within the last year
  • Valid ARRT or ARMIT certification
  • Experience working with Level I Trauma patients
  • Experience in an inpatient hospital setting
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR system

Competency & Certification Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA preferred, ARC accepted)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA preferred, ARC accepted)
  • Facility-specific competency exams including medication calculation and other relevant skills with minimum 80% passing score and annual renewal
  • Pass/Fail testing at orientation including math and EKG exams (for applicable units)

Onboarding & Facility Requirements

  • Completion of electronic onboarding documents prior to start date (cannot be handwritten)
  • Occupational Health appointment scheduled before or on first day for final clearance
  • Completion of facility-specific confidentiality and electronic access agreements
  • Annual skills checklist updated and valid at start date
  • Facility-specific study guides provided for EKG and medication calculation tests

Additional Information

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
  • Work environment includes Level I Trauma and inpatient MRI services
  • Night shift schedule with 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours)
