Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Job - Fort Collins, Colorado

Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, Monday-Friday, 5x8 hour shifts
• Shift Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM
• Hours per Week: 40 hours
• Work Location: Outpatient radiation oncology center
• Floating: Traveler will float to a sister facility approximately 11.7 miles away for orientation and assistance with opening a new department.
• Weekend Requirement: No
• On-call Requirement: No
• Travel Partners: Not allowed
• Time Off Restrictions: Maximum 10 RTO days approved; no RTO allowed during specified blackout periods in 2026.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT (T) certification (Radiation Therapist)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience with beam technology

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background Checks:

  • 7-year background check including SSN trace, Colorado state checks, education verification, sex offender search, and sanction list checks
• Education Verification: Third-party verification or transcript/diploma acceptable
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 1 year, signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA
  • Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually (specific 3M masks required)
  • Immunizations/vaccines or titers for TDAP, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • COVID vaccine documentation or signed declination
  • Drug testing within 30 days of start, updated annually
  • Color Blindness: Ishihara exam required prior to start (online testing not accepted)
• Certifications:

  • Must confirm renewal plans for certifications expiring within 90 days of start
• Competency Exams: Required annually, including medication/pharmacology, dysrhythmia/EKG, OSHA, and core competency parts I-III
• References: Two references from the last two years required; one must be from employment within the last year, from a Charge RN, Manager, or Supervisor
• Employment History: Verification of last 3 years of employment required; gaps over 30 days must be explained
• State-Specific: Colorado CAPS check results required within 60 days of start

Additional Notes

• Traveler must be onsite at the primary facility for orientation and to assist with opening a new department.
• Onsite fit testing and PAPR testing options are available if needed.
• Facility-specific new employee orientation modules must be completed within the first two weeks of assignment.
• Candidates with employment gaps of 15+ days are considered new and must meet full background and compliance requirements.
