Job Opportunity: Home Health Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Marlton, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Strong, recent Home Health nursing experience required.
• Patient population primarily includes individuals discharged from hospitals and nursing facilities.
• Common diagnoses: wound care, wound vacs, Pleurx drains, ostomies, heart failure, diabetes, oncology, post-surgical care, and orthopedic cases.
• Productivity expectation: approximately 6 visits per day (admissions count as 2 visits).
• Work schedule: Day shift, 5 days a week (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM), 40 hours per week.
• Weekend and holiday coverage: every 5th weekend and every other holiday.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required (no mileage reimbursement).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
• Minimum 2 years of Home Health nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Experience in a Home Health setting.
• Med Surg nursing experience.
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records system.
• Experience with OASIS documentation system.

Additional Information

• Candidates must complete a dysrhythmia competency test if applicable (not required for home health).
• Candidates cannot start if certifications (BLS, ACLS, etc.) expire within 30 days of contract start.
• Facility-specific orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required.
• Visual acuity must be 20/40 or better.

This role is ideal for experienced Home Health RNs seeking a travel contract position with a focus on comprehensive post-acute care in a community setting.
