Location: Wichita Falls, Texas

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Night shifts only
• Options: 3 shifts per week (3x12 hours) or 4 shifts per week (4x12 hours)
• Shift hours: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Alternating 36/48 hour schedule with 84 hours scheduled biweekly and a 72-hour guarantee

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
• Certifications required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background check within 1 year of start, including SS trace, county searches for last 7 years, nationwide, and sex offender registry
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• NURSYS verification for RN license within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
• Immunizations and health screenings required (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing):

  • Negative TB test (2-step PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot) within 1 year or chest x-ray within 5 years if positive PPD
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Rubeola (Measles): 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
  • Mumps: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
  • Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
  • Hepatitis B: positive titer, series of 3, or declination
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox
  • Seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season (10/1-5/31) with option for medical/religious exemption
  • COVID-19 vaccination documentation required
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant acceptable)
• Skills checklist and competency exams required and must be updated annually
• Employment application/resume and 2 professional references within 3 years required

Additional Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific forms and acknowledgments prior to start (e.g., parking policy, confidentiality, code of conduct, orientation)
• Flu medical or religious exemption forms if applicable
• Facility-specific orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required

Summary

This is a night shift ER Registered Nurse travel contract position in Texas requiring a minimum of 3 years ER experience (2 years accepted with trauma/high volume experience), prior travel experience, and multiple certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC. The contract length is approximately 13 weeks with a guaranteed minimum of 72 hours biweekly. Comprehensive health, background, and compliance documentation must be completed timely.
