Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Position
Location
- Portland, Maine
Job Type

- Contract length: 26 weeks
Work Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Hours per week: 48 (including 36 weekend hours)
- Call requirement: Yes, 2 hours for the oncoming shift
Job Description
- Respiratory Therapist role with a focus on NICU-trained skills to fill a current gap
- Float requirements include working as an RRT in NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, emergency department, adult acute, and critical care settings
- Work within a team of 14-16 RRTs covering the entire facility
- Patient ratios: acute care 1:25, critical care 1:8
- Equipment used includes Drager V500 and VN500 ventilators, Hamilton T1 and C1, Respironics V30, V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, Vapotherm
- Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
- Facility is a tertiary, teaching hospital and level 1 trauma center
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Maine
- Minimum 3 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- NRP certification
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
