Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Description

36-bed telemetry pulmonary unit focused on diagnosing and treating patients with respiratory disorders
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
Collaborative work environment with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy departments
Requires foundation in general medicine and expertise in respiratory nursing skills
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals

Schedule

36 hours per week (will accept 36 or 48 hours)
Every other weekend required
Holidays as required

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience within the last year
Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification

Dress code: Solid navy scrubs
