Job Opportunity: Inpatient Rehabilitation Speech Therapist

Location

Hilo, Hawaii

Duration: Approximately 26 weeks

Job Description

Provide rehabilitation therapy with a focus on Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies.
Independently complete MBS studies in radiology without supervision.
Work primarily in acute care and skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings, with possible outpatient referrals.
Use Meditech for inpatient computerized documentation and paper documentation for outpatient care.
Training provided for EMR documentation and orientation to rehab area expectations.

Schedule

Generally a set schedule, 5 days per week.
Likely to include 1 weekend day.
Possible floating to other units or facilities depending on census and staffing.

Required Qualifications

Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Hawaii.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, including experience within the last year.
Experience in a rehabilitation setting.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
ASHA certification.

Additional Information

Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday.
Dress code: Scrubs or per facility policy.
