Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse

Location: York, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Must have experience in Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR).
  • Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM).
  • On-call coverage required for off-shifts, weekends, and holidays with a 30-minute response time.
  • May care for COVID-19 patients.
  • Tobacco and fragrance-free facility environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Interventional Radiology experience.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Work Requirements

  • Weekend shifts as needed.
  • Floating to other units as needed.
  • Maximum return-to-office (RTO) time: 7 days.

Compliance and Documentation

  • Must pass a 7-year criminal background check and Pennsylvania-specific PATCH search (no merged results).
  • Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending if appointment receipt and attestation are on file.
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance required; may start with results pending if proof of submission and attestation are on file.
  • Employment application and 2 professional references required.
  • Annual skills checklist required.
  • Physical exam required within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT.
  • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start; chest x-ray required if TB positive.
  • Required immunizations or proof of immunity:
    • Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series) or declination with booster if needed.
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if titers negative/equivocal.
    • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if titers negative/equivocal.
    • Tdap vaccine within 10 years.
    • Seasonal flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption during flu season.
    • COVID-19 vaccine or valid exemption/declination.
  • Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year (required by agency, not facility).
  • Respiratory safety clearance required annually.

Competency and Training

  • Must complete medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
  • Must pass Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (pass/fail) unless working in OR or Home Health.
  • Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing required.
  • Completion of facility-specific online learning modules (LMS) on PC/laptop prior to start.
  • New hire orientation required by end of first day.

Notes

  • Candidate will undergo a clinical pre-screen to determine fit before manager interview.
  • Background check and fingerprinting results must be finalized within 45 days of assignment start or candidate will be removed from the floor.
  • All health documents must include two identifying markers (e.g., full name, DOB, or SSN).
