Job Opportunity: PACU Registered Nurse

Location: Fayetteville, Arkansas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must have at least 1 year of PACU experience.
• If no PACU experience, must have Med/Surg and/or Critical Care experience at a minimum.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system required.
• Schedule: Four 9-hour shifts (10:00 AM - 7:30 PM), Monday through Friday, rotating days with call.
• Call requirements rotate between weekends and weeknights based on traveler availability and department needs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas.
• Minimum 1 year of Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Med/Surg experience.

Experience & References

• Minimum 1 year of specialty experience (PACU or Med/Surg/Critical Care).
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations required.
• Verification of past 2 assignments/employments required.
• Performance evaluations required if worked with the agency for over 1 year; internal evaluations if over 2 years.

Additional Information

• Must complete annual skills checklist for applicable unit.
• Orientation and annual compliance modules will be completed on the first day.
• Core competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency exams required as applicable.
• HIPAA compliance acknowledgment required.

Shift Details

• Day shift, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (40 hours/week).
• Shift hours: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM (note: description states 10 AM - 7:30 PM for schedule, confirm exact shift time).
