Description
Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (Travel/Contract)
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Schedule: No weekends, no call
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Coverage across multiple locations as needed within the region.
- Start dates available: June 8, 15, or 22, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Wisconsin.
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
- ARRT (R) certification.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
Compliance & Background Requirements
- Comprehensive background check within 90 days prior to start, including all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years.
- Monthly monitoring through federal exclusion lists (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG) after hire.
- Wisconsin Caregiver Screening and BID Form completion required prior to start.
- Education verification required for Radiologic Technologist credential.
Certifications & Testing
- BLS (AHA) certification must be current; renewal plans must be finalized by the 15th of the month prior to expiration.
- ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (check unit description).
- Facility-specific telemetry testing and pass/fail exams may be required for certain clinical roles (not typically for Radiology).
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes; TB questionnaire updated annually.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titers required; medical or religious exemptions accepted with proper documentation.
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer required; medical or religious exemptions accepted.
- Hepatitis B vaccination series with positive titer or facility-specific declination form required for direct patient care roles.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season (September 22 – April 13).
- Other vaccines such as Meningococcal may be required depending on department assignment.
Additional Requirements
- Physical exam documentation collected to meet agency standards (not facility-mandated).
- Drug screening required per agency standards; pharmacy department candidates have additional drug screen requirements.
- Passport-style photo for badge issuance required prior to start.
- Employment application and annual skills checklist required.
- Two clinical references within the last 3 years required.
