Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Technologist - General

• Mountain Home, Arkansas

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday
• Night shift: 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM (8 hours/day, 40 hours/week)
• On-call rotation: 2 days per week and every other weekend
• Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes

Job Summary

• Provide quality ultrasound imaging to assist in patient diagnosis and care
• Support Radiologists during exams
• Work performed in hospital setting including department, surgery, emergency department, and patient floors

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an Ultrasound or Sonography program
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with experience within the last year
• Certifications: ARDMS and ARRT
• Must hold a valid Arkansas state license for Ultrasound Technologist
• Primary source verification required (original transcripts and Arkansas Department of Health verification)

Physical Demands

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, and occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds using proper body mechanics
• Must have keen hearing and visual acuity
• Ability to handle critical and highly stressful situations with composure

Compliance and Background Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• Social Security card copy required
• E-Verify or attestation required
• 7-year background check required within 6 months of start; annual updates required for direct candidates
• Additional background checks including EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, sex offender search, state-specific criminal history, and education verification required within 30 days of start

Certifications and Competencies

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA approved (Instructor, Provider, or RQI)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA approved (Instructor, Provider, or RQI)
• Other certifications (PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, ENPC, NIH Stroke Certification) as applicable
• Competency exams required within 1 year of start
• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment required and updated annually

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam required within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray required within 1 year of start; annual TB questionnaire required regardless of TB status
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination accepted)
  • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
• Seasonal influenza vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (October 1 - March 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination documentation required; exemptions or declinations must be communicated to credentialing
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 30 days of start; must have plan for completion within 72 hours of contract signing

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Review and comply with personal appearance and dress code policies prior to start
• Complete new employee and contract personnel pre-screening compliance checklist
• Complete TB questionnaire regardless of TB test result
• Complete required facility-specific forms including confidentiality, code of conduct, information security, and orientation documents prior to start

References and Work History

• Two professional references required within 2 years (acceptable up to 3 years)
• Work history verification required for the past 2 years
• Resume or employment application copy required
• Skills checklist required and updated annually
