Description
MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (12:00 PM – 10:30 PM), Monday to Friday
- Weekend Requirement: 1 Saturday per month, if needed
- Floating: Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs; no floating to sister facilities
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Local Radius Rule: Home address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Pending State License Accepted
- No on-call required
- First-time travelers accepted
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience within the last year
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required and must be in hand to submit
- BLS certification required
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued ID (Driver’s License/State ID) required
- Criminal background check within 6 months, including statewide and nationwide searches, plus international if applicable
- Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Education verification of highest related degree required before start
- Fingerprinting required for assignments at or floating to long-term care or rehab units in Illinois
- Primary source verification of professional license required (Missouri licenses verified via NURSYS)
- Drug testing within 1 year of start, including specific drug panels, must remain valid throughout assignment
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (Aya requirement)
- Fit mask testing required annually (N95 respirators)
- Immunizations/vaccinations or proof of immunity required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (or declination)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (2 negative PPDs or T-Spot/Q-Gold within 1 year)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: positive titer, vaccination, or MD statement of immunity; boosters or declination if negative
- Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Sept-April)
- Various facility-specific documents required prior to start, including:
- HIPAA Acknowledgement
- Latex Allergy Questionnaire
- Confidentiality Form
- Regulatory Compliance Education (annual quiz with 80% passing score)
- Hand Hygiene, Fingernail, and Dress Code Policies acknowledgment
- Badge photo (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months)
- Employment application
- Unit-specific skills checklist within 1 year of start
- Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)
Additional Notes
- No local candidates accepted (must live 50+ miles away)
- Rotation includes 1 holiday per rotation if needed
- Orientation parking available with fees; no charge for straight night shifts parking
- Floating within scope allowed but no floating to sister facilities
- No prior travel experience required
