Registered Nurse - Neurology

Location: Portland, Maine
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Details

Specialty: Neuro/Ortho/Trauma (Neurosurgical patients)
Shift: 7 PM - 7:30 AM or 7 AM - 7:30 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: As needed
Patient Ratio:
- Days: 1:4-5
- Nights: 1:5-6
Unit Beds: 26
EMR System: Epic

Patient Population

Neurosurgical patients including:
- Spinal surgery
- Spine fractures
- Brain tumors
- Seizure disorders
- VP shunts
- Head bleeds
- Traumatic injuries
- Joint replacement surgery

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of neurology experience, including experience within the last year
Neurosurgery experience

Additional Information

No prior travel experience explicitly required
Position requires flexibility to float to other units as needed
