Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location: Melbourne, Florida
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each
• Shift hours vary between 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Weekend work depends on block schedule
• No on-call required
• Float may be required to cover 4 different locations

Patient Care & Work Environment

• Patient ratio: 1:2
• Documentation system: EPIC
• Scrubs provided or any solid color allowed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Florida
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, including experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including international searches
• Monthly HHS/OIG checks required
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 90 days of start
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting accepted nationwide)
• Education verification required; candidates from certain disqualified institutions will not be accepted
• Physical exam within 6 months prior to start (valid for 5 years once on file)
• Fit mask test required within 12 months prior to start (must be fully shaven; PAPR not accepted)
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 3 months of start (or 2 negative PPDs with specific timing)
• Annual TB questionnaire required
• Titers required within 5 years for: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (quantitative titers only; immunization records not accepted)
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (must include marijuana; witnessed urine collection required for instant tests)

Facility-Specific Documentation

• Clear, passport-style photo with white background for badge
• Radiation Badge Monitoring Form required prior to start (facility provides and monitors badges)
• Completion of facility documents including Job Description Acknowledgement, Confidentiality Agreement, iCARE Values, and Badge Form
• Flu vaccine exemption forms must be submitted by the Monday prior to start if applicable
• Auto insurance required only for Home Health roles (not applicable here)

Additional Notes

• Contracted hours are guaranteed
• Finalized Return to Office (RTO) schedule must be included with submission; no changes accepted after offer
• Candidates local to the area are accepted at the same rate as travelers
