Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech

Location: Wichita Falls, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evening (Sunday - Thursday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM)
Hours: 40 hours per week (5 days x 8 hours)
Call: No call required

Job Description

• Must start between June 1 and June 15.
• Preferred experience with CT and diagnostic X-ray; candidates with strong X-ray experience and travel background will also be considered.
• Epic experience preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technician license in Texas.
• Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technician experience within the last year.
• ARRT (R) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background check within 1 year of start, including SS trace, county searches (last 7 years), nationwide, and sex offender registry.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start; must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start (2-step PPD or equivalent).
• Immunizations and titers required (2 vaccines or positive titer, or declination if applicable):

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine required (with medical/religious exemption options)
  • COVID-19 vaccination documentation required
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start; must have plan to complete within 72 hours of contract signing.
• References: 2 references within 3 years of start.
• Employment application or resume required.
• Skills checklist required and must be updated annually.
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam required as applicable.

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific documents prior to start, including:

  • Parking policy acknowledgment.
  • Health record forms.
  • Code of conduct and compliance forms.
  • Confidentiality and information security agreements.
  • Orientation and safety manual acknowledgments.
  • Flu medical or religious exemption forms if applicable.

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is preferred but not explicitly required.
• No call required during the shift.
• Evening shift Sunday through Thursday.

This position is ideal for experienced X-Ray Technologists with a strong background in diagnostic imaging and CT, who are comfortable working evening shifts in a travel contract role.
