Dietitian Job Opportunity - Silver Spring, Maryland
Position Details
- Job Title: Renal Dietitian
- Location: Silver Spring, Maryland
- Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
- Shift: Typically 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday; option for four 10-hour days available
- Schedule: No calls, weekends, or holidays required
- Start Time: Flexible within the day shift hours
Job Responsibilities
- Manage nutrition care for clinic patients and those requiring artificial nutrition support (enteral and parenteral nutrition)
- Provide nutrition expertise to physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in interdisciplinary care activities, including rounds and performance improvement initiatives
- Provide nutrition education related to nutrition support for medical staff, support staff, patients, and families
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) license in Maryland
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association) required for direct patient care personnel
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
Required Documentation and Compliance (Must be current and uploaded prior to or at onboarding)
- License/certification verification dated within 30 days of start
- Fit test
- Drug screen (10-panel, completed within 30 days of start, no THC)
- COVID-19 vaccine proof (including booster or approved declination/exemption)
- MMR vaccination proof or IgG titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination series initiated prior to start
- Influenza vaccine proof or declination (optional)
- 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) test; chest x-ray if positive TB as per regional requirements
- Varicella vaccination proof or IgG titer
- Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year)
- Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county for last 7 years) including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start
- Education verification (highest academic degree or diploma/GED)
- Various professional compliance forms including code of conduct, confidentiality agreement, conflict of interest disclosure, integrity and audit services form, and others as required by the employer
- Trinity system access and job description forms completed and uploaded as required
- Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors
