Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Waterloo, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule & Work Details

Weekend shifts: every 4th to 5th weekend
Full-time equivalent (FTE) 0.9 to 1.0
Shift hours:
- 36-hour week: 09:00 - 18:30
- 40-hour week: 08:00 - 18:30
Holiday call rotation required
Weeknight on-call approximately every 1-2 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Iowa
Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Notes

Resume, skills checklist (within one year), and two professional references required for submission
All certifications and licenses must be uploaded as scanned copies with expiration dates visible (front and back of cards where applicable)
Specialty competency exam must be attached and current within one year
Prior travel experience is not specified as required for this position

This position is ideal for experienced OR RNs seeking a long-term assignment with a structured weekend and on-call schedule in Iowa.
