Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Unit Description

Heart Failure / Stroke Unit, 42-bed unit
Focus on patients with neurological and cardiac conditions (e.g., congestive heart failure, acute stroke)
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
Work alongside cardiologists and neurologists
Manage complex neuro-cardiac conditions with precision and compassion

Work Schedule

Holidays as required
Every other weekend
36 or 48 hours per week
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals

Required Qualifications

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Licensure

Valid Registered Nurse license in Alabama

Certifications

BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale certification

Experience

Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience within the last year
