MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Richmond, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Workdays: Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon (North Ground MRI)
• Locals allowed at same rate
• Required systems experience: McKesson, EPIC
• Level 1 required

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Criminal background check within 60 days of start, including:

  • All states lived/worked in past 7 years
  • State of permanent residence
  • Statewide repository search
  • Nationwide FACIS Level 3
  • Sex offender registry
  • Education verification or proof of diploma
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Virginia State Police fingerprinting required for certain units; results can pend but proof of submission must be on file
• Virginia Central Registry (CPS) search required for certain units and candidates; candidates must complete submission within 48 hours of contract signing; results can pend but proof of submission must be on file
• Two professional references required
• Complete application/resume required
• Skills checklist must be updated annually

Orientation and Facility Specifics

• Orientation includes exams/tests such as Pharmacology, Point of Care Testing, Airborne Precaution Mask Fitting (not pass/fail)
• Assigned learning modules during orientation (~6 hours) to be completed by end of orientation week
• Candidates must bring mask (cloth acceptable), non-wireless headphones, and laptop or cell phone (notify if not available)

Additional Notes

• No onsite certification renewals; renewals must be scheduled prior to contract start
• Certifications expiring within 1 month of contract start are not accepted
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
