Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Position - Ohio

Job Details

• Location: Gallipolis, Ohio
• Contract Length: 8 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (5 days/week, 40 hours/week)
• Patient Load: 12-20 patients per day
• Charting System: Aria
• Weekend/On-Call: None
• Floating: None
• First Time Traveler: Yes, open to first-time travelers
• Dress Code: Any solid color combination for scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiation Therapist license in Ohio
• Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (must carry during assignment)
• Social Security Card
• 7-year criminal background check including: SSN trace, counties lived/worked, statewide, national criminal, sex offender, FACIS Level 3, OFAC
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (updated monthly)
• BCI and FBI fingerprinting within 12 months of start (valid for 5 years)
• Education verification
• Physical exam confirming ability to work without restrictions (within 6 months for acute care)
• Fit mask testing within 6 months (3M 1860 or 3M VFlex 1804)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tdap within 10 years
  • Negative TB test (Quantiferon Gold within 30 days or PPD per facility protocol)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or vaccination)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or declination)
  • Varicella (positive titer or vaccination)
• Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccine or signed declination for the 2025-26 flu season (by 12/31/2025)
• COVID vaccination proof or declination

Additional Requirements

• Two positive professional references related to similar experience (most recent employer preferred)
• Employment application including 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care and similar specialty
• Unit-specific skills checklist (updated annually)
• Radiation badge required (provided by facility)
• Completion of facility-specific documents prior to start, including:

  • Confidentiality statement
  • Authorization to release information
  • Contract employee information form
  • Non-employee orientation packet and post-test
  • Age-specific and cultural competency training and post-tests
  • Dress and appearance acknowledgment
  • Commitments to care form
  • Flu and COVID-19 policy acknowledgment
  • Code of conduct acknowledgment
  • N95 beard waiver if applicable
  • Job description acknowledgment

This position is suitable for Radiation Therapists with at least one year of experience, licensed in Ohio, and certified in ARRT and BLS, who are comfortable working with advanced radiation oncology equipment and meeting comprehensive compliance and health requirements.
