Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical/Telemetry
Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (12 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced RN for Medical/Surgical and Telemetry unit. This is a long-term assignment lasting approximately 12 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- Telemetry experience of at least 1 year within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- License and certification verifications must be dated within 30 days of assignment start.
- Specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklist must be completed within the past year.
- Fit test and respirator evaluation with physician signature required.
- COVID-19 vaccine proof (including booster through September 2025) or approved exemption/declination (declination not accepted in CA or IL).
- Proof of MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B vaccination series (or appropriate titers), Tdap vaccine (declinations accepted if no pediatric interaction), and 2-step PPD or IGRA testing.
- Influenza vaccine is optional but recommended.
- Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year.
- Trinity 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (NO THC).
- Background checks including federal, nationwide, county criminal (last 7 years), SSN verification, education verification, and various federal exclusion lists must be completed within 30 days of start.
- Signed forms including Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest Disclosure, Confidentiality and Security Agreement, Integrity and Audit Services Form, and System Access Form must be on file prior to start.
- CORE exam and other joint commission testing must be current within the last year.
Additional Notes
- All documentation and verifications must be uploaded to the designated credentialing system prior to or at onboarding.
- Specialty competency and skills checklists are provided by the agency for clinical contractors.
- This position requires adherence to strict compliance and credentialing standards to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
