Description

Registered Nurse (Behavioral Health) - Travel Position

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Shift: Nights, 7 PM – 7 AM
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Employment Type: Travel, Full Time

Job Summary

Coordinate and implement patient care tailored to the age and needs of the patient population on assigned units.
Ensure quality, efficient, and safe care consistent with unit standards.
Demonstrate professionalism and respect toward staff, physicians, patients, and families.
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
Perform Point of Care testing procedures as needed.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Minimum of 1 year of Behavioral Health nursing experience.
Behavioral Health experience within the last year.

Licenses & Certifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification.

Skills & Competencies

Knowledge and skills appropriate to the patient population served.
Sensitivity to patients’ rights in care delivery.
Clear and age-appropriate communication skills.
Ability to meet applicable leadership competencies (Leader of Self, Others, or Leaders).

Work Schedule

Night shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
Full-time travel assignment
