Description

Ultrasound Tech

Location: Martinsburg, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Department: Radiology - Ultrasound
  • Shifts:
    • 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
    • 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (rotating shift)
    • Evening shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
  • Hours per week: 40
  • Weekend and call rotation required (no holiday requirement)
  • No IV starts required
  • No floating or coverage of other areas
  • Average scans per day: 12–14
  • Imaging types:
    • General Ultrasound (Abdomen: renal, liver, RUQ, spleen)
    • Vascular (Carotid, femoral)
    • PVR, venous reflux studies
    • Early OB, OB Anatomy, BPP, TV
  • Equipment used: GE, Canon
  • Software: Epic, Fuji
  • No radiologist on-site
  • No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) used
  • Scrub color: Black (scrubs provided)

Required Qualifications

  • BLS (AHA) certification
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen (RDMS-AB) via ARDMS verification
  • Breast certification required
  • Valid driver’s license with address outside 50 miles from the facility
  • Disclosure of any background hits at time of submission

Additional Submission Requirements

  • Only one submission allowed at a time across the entire system
  • Previous permanent candidates must have been off for 2 years
  • Previous travelers must have been off for 2 years after completing 1 full year
  • Travel teams must be submitted together
  • Maximum of 2 candidates submitted per opening; additional submissions held until a spot opens

Notes for Candidates

  • Department has 4 ultrasound scanners/rooms
  • Call rotation includes nights and weekends
  • No holiday work required
  • No in-house radiologist support; independent operation expected
