Job Opportunity: Certified Respiratory Therapist
Location
- Newton, Massachusetts

Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- Rotating shifts every other weekend and rotating holidays
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Massachusetts
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
Onboarding and Credential Requirements
- Completion of facility-specific self-study orientation and attestation prior to start
- Fit Test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date (no exemptions allowed)
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation (if fit test required)
- Documentation of immunity or vaccination for MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
- TB screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test), updated if break >6 months
- Physician health statement within 365 days of start date, updated if break >6 months
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, including Massachusetts CORI and national sex offender registry checks, updated if break >6 months
- Verification of highest level of education achieved
- Social Security Number trace covering last 7 years
- Exclusion checks against OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid lists within 30 days of start and annually
- Submission of a detailed resume covering the past 7 years of work experience (including city and state)
- Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher in the relevant skillset
- Completion of a skills checklist within 1 year of submission
- Confirmation of assignment form required upon acceptance and for any extensions
Optional but Preferred
- Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity
- Tdap vaccination within the last 10 years
Additional Notes
- No fit testing can be performed onsite; must be completed prior to start
- Positive TB test requires documentation of a negative chest x-ray after the positive test
- Name change documentation required if credentials do not match legal name
- All credential and background documentation must be current and updated as specified
