Registered Nurse – Women’s Services

Location: Lander, Wyoming
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Hours per Week: 36


Job Description

  • Provide plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support.
  • Evaluate and provide patient/family education tailored to age, culture, and condition.
  • Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
  • Circulate during Cesarean sections and assist physicians during deliveries.
  • Provide post-delivery neonatal assessments in the C-section suite.
  • Attend fetal monitoring certification classes every two years.
  • Follow policies for recovery and care of surgical patients.
  • May float to other units as needed for support or sitter duties.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Wyoming.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP), with at least some experience within the last year.
  • Experience in Women’s Services, including OB/GYN and Nursery care.
  • Current certifications issued by the American Heart Association:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
  • Current STABLE certification.
  • Current AWHONN certification.
