ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Jacksonville, Illinois
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Unit: ICU/CCU
• Patient Ratio: 1:2 (4-bed ICU)
• Weekend Requirement: Work every other weekend
• Floating: May float within scope as needed
• Schedule: Block schedule requests can be discussed with manager
• Locals Accepted: Yes, no radius restrictions
• On-call: Not required
• Guaranteed Hours: Subject to client call-offs up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without pay

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Minimum 2 years ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Management of dysrhythmias
• IV insulin protocols experience
• Arterial line management experience
• PICC line management experience
• Continuous IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade experience
• Continuous IV sedation experience
• Experience titrating vasoactive drips
• Care of ventilated patients and ventilator management experience

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming good physical and mental health, free of communicable disease, and ability to perform job functions without restrictions
• Fit mask test required (specific mask types accepted)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella) or signed declinations
• 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually by November 30
• Background checks including criminal, sex offender, and state-specific searches within 30 days of start
• Illinois-specific fingerprinting and healthcare worker registry results required if no active IL license
• Education verification and professional references required

Notes

• First-time travel nurses accepted
• Return-to-Office (RTO) restrictions ideally no more than 5 days
• Badge photo required before start date
• Candidate must review and sign facility code of conduct and other required documents within 7 days of contract signing
