Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Surgery (Travel)

Location

Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Employment Type

Travel assignment
Contract length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (40 hours weekly)
Every other weekend required
Holidays as required
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals

Job Description

Provide quality, compassionate nursing care in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR)
Circulate during procedures
Plan, coordinate, and direct nursing care while maintaining professional standards
Create positive therapeutic relationships with patients and families
Provide leadership by supervising and supporting team members including LPNs, PCAs, Ortho Techs, and other non-licensed staff

Required Qualifications

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Licenses & Certifications

Valid Registered Nurse license in Alabama
Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association

Experience

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) within the last year

Dress code: Solid navy scrubs
