Description
MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Coral Springs, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Day shift, 3 shifts per week
- 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM)
- Total 36 hours per week
- Weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) at Coral Springs FHC
- Third shift coverage during the week at a nearby hospital
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
Experience
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Required years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard for MRI Tech role (confirm with recruiter)
- No prior travel experience explicitly required
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Proof of I9 or attestation
- Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation
- Background checks including:
- 7-year criminal history check (all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (within 30 days of start and updated for renewals)
- Education verification (primary source)
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (no annual update required)
- Physical exam within last 12 months
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual updates required)
- Immunizations or titers required:
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; exemptions for candidates born before 1957
- Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: 2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (10/31–3/31); medical/religious exemptions allowed with approved documentation
- COVID-19 vaccination: 2 doses Pfizer or Moderna OR 1 dose Johnson & Johnson required; no declinations allowed; boosters not required currently; medical/religious exemptions require agency-approved exemption form
- Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint results as per state requirements
Orientation and Training
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome; video must be watched before test)
- COVID-19 exemption form must be uploaded if applicable
- Facility issues radiation badges to applicable candidates
References and History
- Two professional references required within 2 years for travel and allied positions
- Employment application required
- Annual skills checklist for applicable unit
Note: This position involves working at multiple locations including weekend shifts and third shift coverage during the week.
