Registered Nurse - PCU / Telemetry
Location: Abilene, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients using the nursing process.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care and achieve desired outcomes.
- Interact professionally with patients and visitors.
- May be required to float to different floors or other campus locations.
- Must live at least 150 miles from the facility.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- Travel experience required
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Additional Information
- Start date expected within 3-5 weeks.
- Orientation includes mandatory modules (~3-4 hours).
- Parking available at no cost during and after orientation.
- Pass/fail testing for Telemetry nurses allows up to 2 attempts (3 with manager approval).
- Candidates must be prepared for possible floating to other units or campuses.
