Registered Nurse - PCU (Night Shift) - Illinois, Quincy

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Schedule: Every other weekend; float as needed
• Scheduling Notes: Block scheduling may be accommodated upon request
• Contract Options: 36 or 48 hour contracts available for current needs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in PCU (Progressive Care Unit), including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 30 days of start, stating clearance to work without restrictions
• N95 Fit Test within 12 months of start (specific approved mask models)
• Tdap vaccination within 10 years or signed declination
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (2-step PPD or equivalent testing required)
• Proof of immunity or vaccination for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
• Seasonal flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination proof required prior to start
• Drug testing: 10-panel test dated within 30 days of start, repeated annually (no rapid results accepted)

Documentation and Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (2 forms required)
• Emergency contact form required prior to start
• Background check including 7-year criminal history, SSN trace, education verification, sex offender registry, and national criminal checks (must be within 30 days of start)
• Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Education verification (diploma or transcript acceptable)
• Photo for badge (headshot, JPEG format)
• Completion of facility-specific computer-based learning modules prior to start (approx. 4 hours)
• Completion of various facility-specific forms including:

  • Employee health information
  • Non-discrimination/equal opportunity statement
  • Parking tag request
  • Safety information acknowledgment
  • Code of conduct acknowledgment
  • Confidentiality and information access agreement
  • Standard behaviors acknowledgment
  • Compliance relationships form
  • Mandated reporter status acknowledgment
  • Enrollment form
  • Background check authorization
  • Non-employee system access request
  • Job description acknowledgment
• Employment application and work history verification for last 3 years required
• At least 2 recent professional references required (within 3 years)

Additional Notes

• Willingness to float as needed
• Block scheduling may be discussed with the client
• First-time travel nurses with 5+ years experience are eligible
