Job Details

• Specialty: Emergency Room (ER)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day and Evening shifts available
• Hours: 12 hours per day, approximately 36 hours per week
• ER Beds: 8
• Average Daily Census: 29 patients
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Generally 1:2, potentially up to 1:4
• Medication System: Pyxis
• Provider Support: NP/PA coverage from 10 AM to 8 PM daily
• Floating: Not required
• On-Call: Not required unless requested by the nurse
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Yes

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - AHA
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Additional Requirements

• Must submit a copy of an unexpired driver’s license with application
• Licensing issues must be disclosed at time of submission
• Must be willing to work within a 50-mile radius

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license for West Virginia
• Experience in Emergency Room nursing (minimum 1 year recommended based on specialty)
