Description
Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (Travel/Contract)
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 40
Job Summary
- Assignment may include being part of an "Emergency Team" with expectation to stay onsite during emergency events or serve as relief.
- On-call required with a 30-minute response time.
- Scrub experience required.
- Prior travel experience required.
- Neuro Interventional Radiology (Neuro IR) experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Required Experience
- Candidates with Neuro IR and scrub experience: minimum 1 year of experience accepted.
- Candidates without Neuro IR experience: minimum 2 years of experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Louisiana.
- Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year.
- Scrub experience.
- Prior travel experience.
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months indicating good health.
- Fit mask testing (N95 acceptable) within 1 year of start; onsite fit testing available if needed.
- Negative TB test (PPD, Qgold, or Tspot) within 12 months; if positive, additional documentation required.
- Immunizations or titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Tdap vaccine required for select departments (not specified for this role).
- Seasonal flu vaccination, declination, or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31).
Additional Requirements
- Resume/application with 7 years of employment history and explanations for gaps.
- Passport-style color photo (plain background, no obstructions or filters) uploaded within 24 hours of booking.
- Compliance with emergency preparedness protocols during hurricane season (June 1 – Nov 30).
